Fishing/Exploring Loch Raven Reservoir - Maryland

Every Year, my brother and I travel to Maryland to fish Loch Raven Reservoir during their Free Fishing days (days that does not require a fishing license). This year it is the first two Saturdays of June and 4th of July.

The Loch Raven Reservoir Boat Rentals got two options, a Fast boat w/ stronger motor, or a slower jon boat. We were there early as possible and we didn't get a bass boat :(. Free fishing day mean ton of people out on the waters! we have gotten a 2nd battery tho so we could travel and explore.

Day started off slow, not many bass were hitting most likely due to post spawn (a period of time right after they spawn, they become a bit lazy, eat up in deeper areas near points). On the other hand, Pickerels seems to be on fire that day! Almost any lures caught them, so we have decided to just power through with swimming lures.
