Bitshares vs (or featuring?) Bittrex - conspiracy theory time

Hello steemians!
I have a crazy theory to share with you. It sounds pretty far fetched but is possible, so bear with me.

Some time ago it has been announced that the official bitshares spokesperson is in contact with bittrex regarding the delisting. The spokesperson could not disclose any further information on the progress of these negotiations due, it seems, to the signed NDA (Non-disclosure agreement).
Notice that the bitshares devs were in contact with bittrex even before that - on the first day the exchange has announced the delisting.
It is also in public knowledge, that no official reason was published and the rumors of bugs/hardware problems/low volume are wrong.
It's been two weeks already and no substantial news was released - what are they negotiating on? It's either they want to ditch bts no matter what and there is nothing to talk about or they see it was a mistake and relist it. Shouldn't take two weeks to figure it out, right?
Here's when it gets interesting. What if they are working on moving bittrex onto bitshares? Our blockchain is more than capable of handling all of their volume. They can operate a dex under their own name, just like openledger does.
Everyone knows that decentralized exchanges are the future, so why wouldn't they want to be one of the first cex's that moved on to be a dex? That's a hell of a promotion!
I still haven't figured out how the delisting part plays into all of this (maybe they wanted to delist initially to eliminate competition and then were offered partnership, or maybe it was somehow their weird way to gain attention, i don't know) but wouldn't it be awesome if it were true?

Oh, I thought CCDEK and openledger are the same thing.... I'll edit the post, but that's not the point

They essentially are, but they existed as a CEX first.

Now this is a very interesting observation and very possible..I think Bittrex is getting squeezed by the SEC and is maybe looking to alleviate some of that burden..that would be a massive move..thanks for sharing your ideas

That's an angle I hadn't considered, worth an upvote.

They don't need to delist BTS just to move to the BTS blockchain...

That is exactly what the last paragraph is for
