The best accidental picture

Sometimes the best moments, memories and pictures are captured by accident or without any thought in something being the best. This is exactly what happened on my latest trip and adventure in Thailand. I had heard about Cheow Lan Lake in my research for Thailand, but didn't know a single person that had ever been. It was the only thing that I knew I wanted to do when I got to the south. However, in typical me fashion, I did zero planning on the actual process of getting to this lake. With 2 days left in the south I decided that tomorrow was the day. After a 2 hour drive from our small town, we made it to the Lake.

Beautiful limestone cliffs jut out from the water in the most breathtaking of fashion. We saw 1 other small boat but otherwise it was as quiet as can be. We were completely surrounded by a jungle canopy that hides tigers, monkeys and wild elephants (didn't see any of this cool shit)
Our boat captain took us to this amazing area of the lake where you can stay in floating bungalows ( again didn't do this but told other people to!) Its something ridiculously affordable, like $50 a night to stay in this wonderland.

We were told that we could swim here though, and that's how I took the best accidental picture of my life. Its not to say I didn't know I was taking a picture but beyond a good old fashioned 1-2-3... there was zero planning that went into this. Two simultaneous back flips and a head thrown back were the result of having some super cool friends that are just always epic.

There will always be a part of my heart that is sad to not be in this amazing photo. However I feel the same joy and excitement when I see it today as I felt that day exploring this amazing lake. If you ever get the chance, go here. I swear it'll be worth it.
