✔️The western yellow wagtail (Motacilla flava)

At the very beginning of spring, in early May, I decided to take a walk in the coastal forest. There are a lot of birds at this time, everyone is singing, flying, active. I went down to the river to see which of the near-water birds had arrived by that time, and came across this bird.
To some extent, this bird can also be considered a near-water bird, they often live near the banks of rivers and lakes. On the other side of the river, we have meadows, where there are most of them.
Look what a bright yellow plumage color this male has! During the mating season, in most birds, the plumage becomes the most saturated in order to attract females as much as possible.
These birds are not particularly afraid of people, so you can easily observe them. This buddy wandered along the snow-dried bank, on which there were many different pieces of wood. He examined each piece of wood for insects.
