Baraba Steppe Gull (Larus barabensis)
No, it's not just a seagull, or a silver gull. This is a special kind of gulls living in southeast Europe, and nesting in Siberia.
First, let's deal with the name.
What does "Baraba" mean? In western Siberia, in the Novosibirsk region there is such a tiny city - Barabinsk. And the whole territory that surrounds him, people call the "Baraba Steppes". And in fact, when you go along the highway, there is one steppe all around, flooded meadows.
Every year I drive past this city, in a neighboring city, a few km from it there is another such small town where my relatives live.
And on these steppes I like to walk with a camera, there are a lot of interesting birds on the flooded meadows.

Here, I took picture of my brother on the background of these meadows.😀 On this photo he photographs the citrine wagtail (Motacilla citreola) I showed him.

Back to the bird. It differs in a darker plumage. On the wings and back, the plumage is darker than that of silver gulls, as well as dark spots on the iris.
