1st Anniversary Celebration | Steem Sri Lanka | 10% for SL Charity

Few days before September, Randula has posted asking what we want to do for the Anniversary of Steem Sri Lanka. After few days, a special contest has taken place for the Anniversary.

Every member of this community has shared about their thoughts, what they have done and what they have gained from the community. Not only our Sri Lankan members but our overseas friends have posted great posts.

If you have gone through the community these days, you will find a lot about the community and about members. Everyone was so excited about celebrating the Anniversary of this Community. That excitement has shown how much these people are bonded together.

Because we couldn’t meet physically, everyone was agreed to have a virtual celebration. Even it can be memorable. We couldn’t let this day just pass. When it comes to a celebration, how can we forget a cake 🙊. So, I made a cake for this special day. With the help of @randulakoralage and @sandu, I have decided on a simple design.

It was yesterday that our meeting held. Everyone has joined very happily. Even if we had zoom sessions before, this is the first time everyone had turned on their cameras. After everyone joined, I turned on the camera with the cake.

I was so happy see their reactions and what they have told about the cake. Thank you everyone 💖. After singing “Happy Birthday” song for our lovely SSL, I blew out the candle for everyone. I made a little wish that time. I will tell you if it comes true 😁.

Then we had little chit chats among members. I didn’t chat much. But I was enjoying what others are saying. Another special thing is our friend @maulidar has been there with us until the very end. We are sorry that the language was a barrier for us. But we are happy to have you with us 🥰.

It was a lovely celebration. At the end everyone wished for a greater achievement for next anniversary. I wish we could meet and we could eat the cake next year together. Happy Anniversary Steem Sri Lanka💖💖.
