A Cryptocurrency That Builds Renewable Energy

There are always new coins coming online. Most of them hold no new innovations, and sadly, never succeed in any meaningful way. However, I have just discovered an innovative new cryptocurrency that combines my two favorite things.

The cryptocurrency is called Optonium, and it combines cryptos and renewable energy. When you buy Optonium, the money represents a stake in a renewable energy project.

The coin is still pre-ICO, but it should launch later this month. You can even get some free coin by signing up with them.

    Hard to take an ICO seriously when there are errors on their own roadmap:

    Interesting concept though. Have you heard of POWR? Pretty similar, except its for trading generated energy between people, off-grid, essentially.

    I haven't heard of POWr. I'm looking into it right now! IT's a really interesting concept. Do you hold any?

      I might have to buy some myself. It's really interesting market developing between Blockchain and off-grid electricity.
