- The Big Question - Will your VPN still work? -

The Chinese Communist Party opens the 19th National Party Congress - a governing event which occurs every five years. The big question for expats is regarding access to English-language sites. China has taken steps to crackdown on VPN servers within the country. During major events like this, VPN's commonly in use will usually experience spotty performance, making it difficult to access English-language sites. Even the CPC's own English lahnguage sites are affected, since they make use of Google and Facebook functions which are blocked by the Great Firewall.
