The Downfall of Droning

Yesterday had been a lot longer day than I'm used to and this morning I woke up sore in places I forgot I had. So we took the morning off and I thought I was going to edit the footage from the day before. The morning footage wasn't the greatest because the shutter speed was too fast. I wasn't too worried about it the first time flying the drone as I was concentrating on just getting used to it.

The afternoon footage was locked in tight, or so I thought. I had the shutter speed set and was using the new codec H.265 so the files would be smaller but have the same quality. Well that was my downfall.

Turns out there isn't a lot of support for H.265 and my current computer treats it like a wife would her husband if he came home drunk at 3 am and tried to have sex with her. So the afternoon footage from yesterday, at least for now, is persona non grata.

There is good news though! We went out to Rio Puerco Bridge near the Route 66 Casino just west of Albuquerque. I've preview the footage already and it looks good. Um, no, It looks epic. The image at the top and the closing image below are stills I shot while flying today. Tomorrow THERE WILL BE A VIDEO! I'll be working on the video tonight and then I'll be working on recutting a lot of the old stuff that I shot with my Yuneec Typhoon to upload to the new youtube channel. Talk to you then.
