"Reading is Cool"

It was the sentence written on the cute book fair ticket which is unbelievably 20 LKR even now. I guess this ticket is the only one that we see at the same price after 2 years. Even the design is very lovely. This time I went with Harith and his sister both visiting the book fair for the first time. Harith obviously not a person who reads, but he loved to join me on this visit. My brother really couldn't come with us as he already promised his uni friends to go with them. Anyway, I really missed him as we used to visit together during the last few years.

As the car park was full, we had to park roadside and come back from the back gate. So we bypassed the normal crowd at the front gate and were able easily come in.

The very first stalls we met were from Atlas and Masterguide which is mostly attracted by students and parents. Also, Harith wanted to buy some past paper books for his brother. So we went in. Actually as same as the older days all the stalls were full of crowds. Apart from the master guide's main stall, there were other bookshops as well. Sister and I also purchased some books here. I met my brother at this stall as he had already visited here with his friends.

Especially there was a "Mango" stationary stall, where they sell stationaries half of the price. We purchased some pastel boxes to distribute to school children on World Children's day.

As usual, all books had 20% discount and some shops gave more than that. This time, I was more concerned about the writing style of than the awards they had won. As I understood latest publications are costed more than 1000. I was careful to maintain the budget per book lesser than 1000.

Apart from the books for myself, I purchased some other 5 religious books for my grandmother and a kid's book for my little cousin.

Also, we purchased two dozen of books to distribute to school children. Actually, 80-page book cost 160 LKR in "Class Mate" and they had given 30% per dozen.

Walking under a burning sun made us so tired and we had a cup of noodles from the noodles vehicles. Actually, I wanted ice cream but Harith deadly wanted to eat kottu me.

We spent like four hours with books and finally return back to find a place to eat.
