Giving Some Contribution

Friday is always supposed to be a good day. Today I had to take an unplanned leave to meet the carpenter to explain on my requirements for the pantry design. Before Gota become the president, I had tons of dreams regarding a dream kitchen. But after Gota become president, my desires became a little more simple because Gota and his family caused to increase in the prices of dreams. But still, we were lucky enough to fulfill 80% of things as we expected.

The cost of Aluminium, stainless steel, PVC has become so high. Even for a small kitchen, it required 7-9LAKS only to finish a full pantry with the above materials. The cost of burners, sinks, and others add at least 200 000 LKR more to the above cost. We took several quotations and realized this makes no sense. After several quotations, we realized wood is extremely cheaper than other materials. But with some durability concerns.

We chose to use wood finally. Today, I went to our new house to meet the carpenter. But as promised, the carpenter didn't come there due to the fuel problems. So we decided to use our skills to design the arrangement of pantry cupboards.

I was bit shoter, but I was managed to measure the distances with the help of Harith. We roughly assigned measurement for each box and also we drewa a 3D drawing for cupboard arrangement. This design will lead the carpenter to design the original pantry according to my expectation.

As we had enough time after doing this, I proposed him to "Give me some more works". He invited me to wash the floor with him. There were dust after drilling for lights. It wasn't easy to brush whole the floor, but we were somehow managed it.

After a taste meal and a desert I turned back to home.
