#CN Tag Robocops

in #writing7 years ago (edited)

Recently there has been more robocops flagging members who use the #cn tag and the #kr tag if they are not from those countries.

Some members want to post China and Korea related post and use the tag so that members who are interested in these related topics, have the freedom and right to read them, without censorship.

There are no rules that say that these tags are only for members who are from those countries. Actually, there are NO RULES at all on Steemit, at least no OFFICIAL RULES so why some members are taking it upon themselves to make up their own rules is ridiculous and foolish.

I realize that members from China have their internet censored but most of us are not censored and we would like to keep it that way and not be censored as if we live in China.

Members who use the #cn and #kr tags put a lot of time in their post and then some robocop comes along and flags it, taking away all of the member's earnings.

What is even more ridiculous, and selfish, is these robocops use non Chinese and Korean tags, which they have the freedom to do so, but don't want anyone else to use the #cn and #kr tags. This is absolutely foolish and very selfish. I'm sure these robocops would not appreciate Americans or other westerners flagging their post for using western related tags. So childish.

One particular member from China has actually created a second account to go around and find any post using the #cn tag and flags them if the member are not from China. This member is even asking for donations for this account so he can continue to flag these members.

So, can you #cn and #kr robocops stop this foolish nonsense and try to relax? No one owns any tags or rights to tags on Steemit and anyone can use any tag that choose to use if their post is related to that tag.

Let's all STEEM ON, and not FLAG ON!

Woff, woff!

Hello @randompic, Nice to meet you!

I'm a guide dog living in KR community. I can see that you want to contribute to KR community and communicate with other Korean Steemians. I really appreciate it and I'd be more than happy to help.

KR tag is used mainly by Koreans, but we give warm welcome to anyone who wish to use it. I'm here to give you some advice so that your post can be viewed by many more Koreans. I'm a guide dog after all and that's what I do!

Tips:

  • If you're not comfortable to write in Korean, I highly recommend you write your post in English rather than using Google Translate.
Unfortunately, Google Translate is terrible at translating English into Korean. You may think you wrote in perfect Korean, but what KR Steemians read is gibberish. Sorry, even Koreans can't understand your post written in Google-Translated Korean.
  • So, here's what might happen afterward. Your Google-Translated post might be mistaken as a spam so that whales could downvote your post. Yikes! I hope that wouldn't happen to you.
  • If your post is not relevant to Korea, not even vaguely, but you still use KR tag, Whales could think it as a spam and downvote your post. Double yikes!
  • If your post is somebody else's work(that is, plagiarism), then you'll definitely get downvotes.
  • If you keep abusing tags, you may be considered as a spammer. It may result to put you into the blacklist. Oops!

I sincerely hope that you enjoy Steemit without getting downvotes. Because Steemit is a wonderful place. See? Korean Steemians are kind enough to raise a guide dog(that's me) to help you!

Woff, woff! 🐶

I appreciate your post @krguidedog, however, it's mostly complete nonsense. All the "rules" or the guideline you posted are just made up, and there are no Steemit rules. No one has the right to make up these rules and flag members for not following them.

Before you continue to impose these made up rules, please refer to the FAQ section here:

Is there an Etiquette Guide for Steemit?

There are no official rules for participating on Steemit.com, but one of the users @thecryptofiend has created an Etiquette Guide for the community. While it is not required to follow the suggestions in the guide, they are standards that many users in the community choose to follow.

As you can see, there are NO official rules. So please, tell the #kr and #cn community to stop this foolish and childish behavior so we can all enjoy Steemit, which was created and Made In America.

While there are no official Steemit rules, as you can see in the FAQ section, there is an etiquette guide. No one has to follow the etiquette guide and you, @krguidedog, do not follow it. If you did, you would not flag and spam members for these kind of silly , little reason.

So, you do not follow the Steemit Etiquette Guide but you want everyone to follow your made up rules or guides, whatever they are. You are a complete fool. You are becoming one of the big fools of Steemit.

Hi im korean and i wanna tell you why korean flagged some post who tagging #kr
Nowadays somepeople(not korean) posted some posts with translater or copy posts
Copy posts, i think it isn't need to say why
So why are these posts with translater be problem?
Posts with tanslater people use is too uncomfortable to read
And its not related with korea
So korean thinks why they use kr tag?
We dont flag real related korea
For exsample https://steemit.com/war/@samrg472/trump-ready-for-war-with-north-korea
This post show recent korean situation
Is there any flag?
No
Because korean thinks that post related with korea
Korean have no right to tag kr
But we dont want to see posts using kr tag ,no related with korea

Hi @jiuun, thank you for commenting. It's nice to see a post with the #kr tag has not been flagged. However, mine are being flagged...

https://steemit.com/science/@randompic/south-korean-president-calls-for-the-strongest-possible-response-to-north-koreas-nuclear-test

The above post is completely Korean related and there was no reason for anyone to flag it.

And this post is nice, Chinese music that I like and I used the #cn tag.

https://steemit.com/travel/@randompic/traditional-chinese-music-liu-ke-yi

It was flagged

Oh im sorry to see that
I think that post related with korea
But the person who flagged that post looks like chinese, so i cant understand why that person flagged your post

If you want more explantion
kr-guide!

That "guide" does not apply to any member of Steemit so it is useless unless the Korean members choose to follow it.

This is the REAL guide:
