China Summons South Korean Envoy Over THAAD
Today, there was an expected backlash from China over Seoul deploying the THAAD missile defense system on the peninsula.
The latest from China is its foreign ministry demanded that the U.S. system be removed "immediately."
The ministry also summoned the South Korean ambassador to lodge a strong complaint, the third summons since last year when Seoul confirmed that it was going to install THAAD to protect itself from North Korea.
China's state run media also criticized South Korea for damaging other countries security to protect their own.
