Eight Ball Drawing - Ran Art Blog - The World of XPILAR - B&W PHOTOGRAPHY AND ART CONTEST WEEK #150
A drawing of an eight-ball.
This is from my upcoming guide on drawing spheres.
I used Lyra Rembrandt pencils.

A ball (sphere) is different from other shapes.
Its outline is always a circle.
The foreshortening happens inside the sphere!
As each plane on a sphere is located closer to the edge, the more it is in the observer line of sight, and therefore more foreshortened.
So, the circle for the 8 number is actually a sphere.
Foreshortening is one of the most important aspects of drawing.
To learn more about it, visit my guide for drawing from imagination.
