Instagram personal fundraisers
Instagram launches this new modality of personal fundraisers in the United States and the United Kingdom, to help people and companies raise money, the initiative was born with the aim of helping people during this COViD-19 pandemic but it is expected that it will continue a long time time after overcoming this crisis.
Steps to follow:
Go to your instagram profile, then touch edit profile and then touch “add fundraising” and then “raise money”
Then select the category you want, you can choose from 14 categories among which are "faith" "crisis relief" "pets and animals" "hobbies". Once the category is selected you can write why you chose it and the cause of the donation.
Finally you must enter your information for stripe that is the payment processor of Facebook, then press the send button and ready your collection will be reviewed by Instagram.
It is important to understand that Instagram reviews all donations before they are published, there are some rules and requirements that you must meet if you want to be accepted, these requirements include being over 18 years of age.
The collections last 30 days and once they expire you can apply to be activated again for an additional 30 days, which allows you to do quite long campaigns.
We must bear in mind that Facebook and Instagram in April added the option of gift cards, something that they did motivated the COVID-19 crisis, managing to raise more than 100 million dollars since then, so personal foundraisers is an evolution of of that initiative.
I am glad to know that there are such initiatives, surely many people will be helped, I am glad to know that the big social media brands start to take the right path, it has always been known that great instagramers usually do charity work and this initiative will allow anyone can start a fundraising in the gofoundme style, this type of initiative makes me want an Instagram that although I really have one, very little I use that platform, it is understood that it is being tested and that at first it will only be for the United States and the United Kingdom but in the future it will reach more countries.

This is new to me, but it sounds interesting. Another one of the innovations that the covid has brought.

Nice innovation and development by Instagram team and I think one of the major reasons for doing this is to help people who are in need of funds but it's really sad that some people will definitely abuse this opportunity.
