Salmon Everyday in Canada
Hey guys this is ramengirl :D While I was staying in Vancouver, I got surprised how fresh and good quality salmon is in Canada. And also it was very affordable pice. Some Korean people saying if you have to try salmon at least once a day in Canada! Hahaha
There's tons of Sushi restaurant in Vancouver, so I wanted to try something new salmon dish except sushi. And I found this restaurant called 'Pagliacci's' in Victoria. Victoria it self reminds me about Europe a lot, but this restaurant makes even more!
As soon as I stepped in the restaurant, I could smell really nice buttery bread which made me super hungry. I got the seat and the server brought us garlic bread before we order. Some food has better smell than actual food, but this garlic bread taste better than the smell!! I wanted to say to the server I don't want any more food can we just eating these?!?! It was that good.
There were oysters on the menu for appetizers so I wanted to order it but the server said it's sold out :( Well instead we ordered this risotto balls which recommended from the server. I mean it must be really heavy appetizers but fried risotto with cheese? It can't be bad ;)
We ordered this spicy shrimp pasta... but it wasn't that impressive.
The reason why I came here the salmon pasta!! There was big chunk of salmon so it was so satisfying!! The recipe seems not that difficult so I want to make this at home one day! :D
If you guys planning to visit to Victoria, and looking for a salmon pasta restaurant try visit Pagliacci's ;)
Risotto balls look like croquettes with risotto in them. Where I'm from, salmon is marinaded in maple and bacon fat. Then fried in bacon fat. Sooooooooooo good.
OMG!! Where can I taste it?? Sounds amazing ;)
Glad you asked. If you hadn't I wouldn't have found out there's actually someplace in Ontario according to Trip advisor
the Risotto balls seems to be a italian thing and I know it as Arancino. The salmon noodles also look so delicious. I love that dish and sometimes we cook it ourself.
lol where was that? I absolutely love this shot. which lens did you use?
