I've heard Vancouver has two different personalities when it's in the summer and the winter. And also people saying if you want to see the real charm of Vancouver you must visit during the summer. Even though I visited Vancouver during the winter which is cold and wet and raining a lot, Vancouver was still really beautiful for me and... I actually enjoyed raining weather in winter. I think because in the winter in Korea is always dry and super cold.

If I have to choose my favorite place in Vancouver, it's going to be Granville Island for sure :) Granville Island is an island about 20 minutes away from the center of Vancouver. It was originally factories and warehouses area, but in 1970 it transformed into a tourist spot with various shops and restaurants.

The Grandville Island brewing located at the entrance of Granville. It's really famous with good quality of craft beer and atmosphere. I really wanted to try their beer, but since I went there early in the morning I couldn't have. But I'd like to visit there one day!

Somehow I thought Vancouver would have much seafood before I came here, but there is not much seafood and it was also quite expensive. But there are so many kinds of seafood at Granville, which made me happy :D I realize how much seafood I'm having in Korea everytime I travel some westeren countries haha.

Right next to the seafood corner there was the smoked salmon place. We told the staff that we want to try out some of them, and he gave us small pack of smoked salmon.

This was first time trying smoked salmon in my life, and it reminded me similar Korean dish. The difference is Korean one is salty and dry, but the Canadian one is soft and moist and also sweet. I loved it<3 It was quite expensive but it's hard to find other places so I recommend you to try it!

Also, I found JJ beans in Granville island!! My friends recommend this coffee shop and they told me JJ has the best coffee in Vancouver. I'm surprised how coffees are really good in Canada generally, but JJ beans definitely the best coffee in Vancouver.

They have so many different kinds of cuisine such as western food, Chinese, Thai, Japanese... but I don't think I found Korean food tho... Hmmm. You guys should add Korean cuisine, Granville ;)
