Chinese hot-pot in HCMC

Hey guys, I recently visited the restaurant called Haidilao. If you never heard of Haidilao it's a chain Chinese hot-pot restaurant. Haidilao Hot Pot restaurants are in many countries, such as China, Singapore, the United States, South Korea, Japan, Canada, and other countries. Chinese hot-pot is so popular among young generation in South Korea these days, but I've never get to have a chance to try in Korea. Some of my friends surprised when I said I've never tried, and they told me that I should try.

So trying Chinese hot pot was on my to do list for a long time, and I finally could try out in HCMC.

There are two Haidilao branches in Ho Chi Minh City and we headed to a branch located in the Bitexco Financial Tower. Bitexco is the second tallest building in Ho Chi Minh and is built by Korean company Hyundai.

엘리베이터에서 올라가자마자 직원들이 달려와서 반갑게 인사해주더라구요. 친절한 고객응대로 유명한 식당이라고 들었는데 그 명성에 걸맞는것 같았습니다.

하이디라오 라는 식당에 대해서 검색을 좀 해보니 중국과 한국에서는 가격대가 어느정도 있는 식당이더라구요. 하이디라오는 베트남에 들어오면서 가격을 확 줄였다고 합니다. 호치민 지점은 한국 지점에 비해서 50% 정도 낮은 가격이라고 해요. 그럼에도 불구하고 베트남 물가에 비해서는 조금 높은 가격대라 주로 관광객들이나 중국인이나 한국인 등 외국인들이 주요 타겟층인것 같았어요.

When I researched for this restaurant, the price range in China and Korea was a little bit expensive than I thought. But they reduced the price for Vietnam, so Ho Chi Minh Branch is about 50% lower than the Korean branch. Nevertheless, the price was still expensive for local Vietnamese people. So seems like their main target was Chinese and Korean tourists.

There were about 8 kinds of soups, and I chose Mala, Thai style, mushroom, tomato soup.

I couldn't take a lot of pictures because I was crazy about eating. I ordered shrimp cheese balls, cheese tofu, Kobe beef, and various vegetables.

It's different and fun to add various ingredients in various broths. You can order dishes through the iPad so it was fun. And I saw robots serving food in the restaurant. Fortunately or unfortunately the robot didn't serve our food, but when I was passing the robot, he told me to get a way from his way... haha. Anyways, if you like hot-pot Haidilao is definitely worth to try.
