Balloons
Rubber air balloons were invented by Josep and J. Montgolfier, they were brothers who had managed to find hot-air balloons. Josep Montgolfier was born on August 26, 1740, while Jacques Montgolfier was born on January 6, 1799, both born in France. The Montgolfier brothers were scientists who lived in the 18th century, they came from a paper-making family.
In 1782 the Montgolfier brothers made a unique and interesting experiment, they observed a piece of paper in a burning fireplace, flown over the chimney with smoke. Seeing this they think if smoke can lift objects and people to the sky. They started doing experiments using a bag made of fine silk fabric placed under burnt paper on a hole, so the bag released a lot of smoke. The bag managed to smoke out to the ceiling of the room.
