Classic arcade games-- Bubble bobble!

As a kid, i spent many hours at the "pinnie parlour" playing various arcade games and the one machine that ate most of my hard earned pocket money was Bubble Bobble.
Bubble Bobble is a two player platform game which was first released in 1986 by gaming giant Taito. The aim of the game was to trap various beasties inside bubbles then pop them into oblivion! If these bubbles were left unpeopled, the beastie would become angry, break free and move faster, even more determined to kill our heros, two cute little bubble dragons.

The game consists of 100 levels with various "power ups" to help you along the way, such as faster bubble gum, and the ever friendly speedy boots! This fast paced game climaxes at level 100 where our heros fight "Baron Von Blubba". In this level you are greeted by the baron who is one giant beastie! Players are equipped with "electric bubbles", bubble which anon breaking, fire a lightning bolt across the screen. The easiest way the beat the baron was to face the wall and just mash the fire button while you avoided the barons projectiles.

"This game was one of the first to feature multiple endings. Completing Level 100 in single-player mode reveals a message stating that the game has not truly ended and a hint to the player: "Come here with your friend." If two players complete the game, they see a "Happy End," in which the brothers are transformed to their human selves and reunited with their girlfriends. This ending also includes a code that, when deciphered, allows the game to be played in the faster and more difficult "Super" mode. If this mode is completed with two players, a second "Happy End" is displayed in which Super Drunk is revealed to be the brothers' parents under the control of some outside influence.
