Foraged Deer Antler
Yesterday I went hiking with my new friend Lylith at a nearby city lake. We hiked in across the dam and went off trail for a while near the shortline.
Near the creek on the south side of the dam we found a field where it seemed deer had been bedding down at. We stopped to take a break and the dogs played in the nearby field.
After about 30 minutes Freddy came wandering back with this antler in his mouth. I was very excited since I had never come across one in the wild.
We went looking around to see if we could find a bone pile or the other antler but couldn't find anything else. All that we found was plastic and washed up trash near the lake.
After speaking with @veteranforcrypto he thinks the antler was broken off in a fight. Deer usually lose their antler in the spring time and this antler was broken off in the skull.
Thanks for reading about my deer antler find and let me know how you think this deer lost it's antler.

Interested in selling a piece of antler? :)
I could sell the whole piece, or I will save it until I find another one to rattle with it/
Do I see a pipe in the future?
Nah this is a really great piece. A set with another this size would be pretty valuable to rattle with.
rattle attracts other bucks?
Yes it is very effective during the rut
