Once again I am very interested in this project. As a creative writer I know how it feels to create content out of nothing and get rewards that are next to nothing. It also true that as a result of my activity on the blockchain, I barely submit my writing to literary journals as I used to do before. Having a positive relationship with publishing houses as well as literary journals will go a long way to certify the content posted here on steemit as well as open the doors for authorship and even nominations for prizes.
I think writcoin is worth supporting and I hope developers would give it a look and come up with something that would serve the purpose behind it's creation
Thanks @warpedpoetic this post was inspired by the back and forth in the comments of the last post about this and so I wanted to elaborate further :-)
I felt like I want to extend the life of how long the project got exposure across the platform. Ha ha, I think I read somewhere once that a post only gets 20 minutes (prime time) chance of being seen (by those outside your followers) from when it's published. Maybe that was in the crazy late 2017 market boom though.

Absolutely what I want to address. It is like a time sink sometimes on here. Discord, networking, projects.... all conspire to mean you don't have the time for submitting to multiple places. I want to make it all easier. I haven't submitted anything to literary journals at all this year apart from one submission to the Rattle poetry prize.... because it's got to be worth a punt. Didn't win the $10000 though ;-)

This post is further explanations, kind of elaborating on the presentation that I put up on the sndbox blog. While it is true that it includes the canvas slide show presentation from that post, most of the rest of the text in the body of this post is further thoughts and explanations. I do not repost. But with this project I feel like I want to extend the life of how long the project gets exposure.
Hi @mariannewest thanks for checking out the writcoin idea and I'll be sure to keep you appraised on any progress and hopefully work together on it in some way in the future.
It isn't really gonna get going fully until early next year just before SMT's are implemented. At the moment I'm kind of using these articles as a sounding board and a tool for me to formulate my plans which are looking promising. There are a few things/ideas I'm keeping to myself as... well to be nice surprises if it all works out ;-)
Thanks again for your interest and I'll let you know as soon as I start to build the community on discord sometimes after steemfest 3.
We're always with you, matey! Resteemed and inserted in the Bananafish post-promotion. I wanted to comment the previous post but it seems that I'm delayed with everything this week. First of all, thanks for the valuable further thoughts. I've been hit by your lucid analysis about the current status of the Steemit platform and its self-centredness. Unfortunately, we'll never exit from the chicken and egg problem of every crowd-based platform (writcoin included) if here on Steemit we keep producing low quality content who's appreciated just because of circle-jerking dynamics. Yes, let's say it: quantity matters over quality here and, most of all, the golden circle of "I vote you - you vote me". This is not going to take us anywhere, not till people will stop using steemit as a faucet without even trying to learn, improve and show their talent - if/when they have. So, blessed your initiative. I would suggest you to work more, especially in the slides, in the typical ways of a pitch-deck: few words, visual info when possible and the page structure intro/need/solution/targets/market research and positioning/business plan/technical features/dev steps/team. Also, try and check Eyeem's model with photography, it seems that they managed to successfully make the crowd and pro-databases meet. I still need to understand better how you intend to make offer and demand meet in a win-win situation. May the bananafish force be with you, bud!
I have to be honest, it has been more than 3 years since I last had to make a presentation which is why I'm a little rusty. In regards to pitch, it isn't really at that stage yet as SMT's aren't out until Feb 2019 anyway and are undoubtedly going to take some (hiccup) time to be completely reliable I think.
I still need to understand better how you intend to make offer and demand meet in a win-win situation.
I have solutions but I'm not going to put them up on steemit at this stage I'm afraid. The vast majority of people on this platform are decent but at the same time I'm not risking putting business ideas up here where anyone can steal them. There are no none disclosure agreements on a decentralised platform ;-) lol
Rest assured I have a few things I'm keeping close to my chest which I am quite excited about and believe can provide the value to attract publishers.
P.s.
intro/need/solution/targets/market research and positioning/business plan/technical features/dev steps/team.
Ha ha, I need to have a team first, did you notice the final page? ;-) in all seriousness though, I agree that this 'draft' presentation needs a better structure in the final iteration.
Yes I noticed the final page, I checked your work three times. You're not bad with the beard shaved btw, very professional 😜
I totally understand your worries, you've to protect your ideas and this kind of projects cannot be patented. I just wanted to leave a critic-constructive comment other than simply compliments heh. I'll follow your progresses closely.

Very interesting @raj808. As someone that works for a major audiobook company I can you that they're not going out of their way to adopt crypto. Just like everyone else they want mainstream institutions to go in first and then follow suit.
My work on Steemit could be seen as research and development. Will be following your work and passing on information.
As an early adopter, I like the way things have gone so far. I read an article talking about mergers in crypto with the slumping market. And while people enjoy media tokens like Steem it's difficult to use the value of earning profits here.
If, for example, Steem where to merge with a company like Verge so that we could use our rewards to make everyday purchases then people would really see a benefit of participating on a larger scale.
Cheers @cyemela I know that all publishing entities aren't gonna want to deal with any crypto communities, especially some small, consensus run, democratic, decentralized type thing like a want to build. I understand that they're all gonna want to mitigate against perceived risk by waiting until some larger players are in the game. It is up to me to find value and utility which will entice them to look past the overall risk that anything crypto represents.
Thanks for your comment mate, I appreciate your view and insider perspective :-)
Thanks nomadicsoul. Yeah, this is a project/community I plan to build when SMT's are released. I've just started to promote the idea early, and prior to steemfest, so that the wider steemit community knows about it.

Hey, you presented it already! Writcoin looks like a prominent project! Good luck!
Thanks for the luck @insight-out

This sounds like a great project and I am very interested in helping in any way I can!!

Sounds great!! Always up for anything that will bring value to the freewriters and all the writers on Steemit.
