I don't blame you for finding the idea of diving scary though, it's not natural for us humans to be swimming underwater like fish lol
what an epic adventure, really glad you did get the go ahead. I have been diving I would love to try it one day, snorkeling is the closet I have come. The beaches in Thailand are so amazing, your photos really take me back to my time there.

I only dived in Thailand once. Are those shrimps crawling on your hand or someone else's? It seems lile fun.
The little dancing shrimp were on one of the other divers hands. They did transfer a few onto my hand at one point and I watched them do this kind of sideways dancing movement up and down my fingers... Very cute 🙂
Thailand can be hit and miss for diving, but the similian islands are among the best dive sites in the world. I got very lucky to see so much so early in my scuba diving journey and have been hooked ever since. If I won the lottery tomorrow I'd spend at least 5 years just traveling the world and diving the best sites 😆
Just gotta buy a lottery ticket now 🤞
I think indonesia and philippines are the best dive sites just because of all the islands. It is easier to find somewhere not destroyed by tourists.
I'd probably do the say thing as you if I had the money, too.
