My first post to steemit
I seen an introduction section here and thought i would try my first ever post here. I enjoy woodworking and homesteading as that is where i hope to end up in life. Right now i repair major in home appliances. I hope to learn and share with everyone here on steemit.
I am hoping to homestead as well. I want nothing to do with their beast system. As for me and my family, I want to try to live a simple life, just as God intended for us. I'm just not sure yet how to finance the whole property thing. The rat race is hard, but it seems nearly impossible to get out of it.
It is hard. As a single dad i have kept my children in the city where i have recieved some support from family. Soon enough the kids will be old enough to spread their wings and fly. I still believe strongly in community, however, the world right now is nuts. Im also helping my ex and letting her and her child stay with is and that causes a drain on the few dollars we keep ourselves alive on. I have a plan though. Im learning to build everything i need. A person can buy land for as low as $50 bucks a month if you really search hard or ive seen 3-5 acres for around $150 a month for 3-5 years. If you buy and plan ahead you can set a five year plan in motion that will give you everything you need to survive and thrive. Im in my first year and have decided the best route is buying hand tools and learning skills. If i accomplish the skill level needed to live on my own and free then i will buy the land and be ready to live there within 2 years.
