Wajik is one of Indonesian traditional food that tastes sweet and delicious. The number of modern foods, making this glutinous diamond less popular in the community. But in Madiun and surrounding areas we often encounter, especially when there is a celebration of weddings, diamonds we often meet to treat invited guests, as well as gifts with other cakes to take home. this food has a distinctive taste and make addictive.

Recipes Making Sticky Rice Diamonds:

Materials used:
500 gr good quality white sticky rice
700 ml thick coconut milk from 1 coconut
250 gr brown sugar, comb
100 gr sugar
½ tsp salt
4 pieces of pandan leaves, wash clean, conclude
Enough water
Cooking oil to taste to taste

How to make:

• Wash glutinous rice with running water until clean. Soak the rice for 2 hours. Lift, drain briefly.
• Steam rice over medium heat for 30 minutes. After 15 minutes open the steamer cover then sprinkle a little hot water on sticky rice to keep it from drying out and awake with moisture.
• Meanwhile boiled coconut milk, brown sugar, sugar, salt, and pandan leaves. Stir until sugar dissolves. Cook until boiling.
• Take the steamed sticky rice. Put into the coconut milk stew while stirring constantly.
• Cook over medium heat while stirring until coconut milk is exhausted and the dough can be formed by hand. Lift.
• Pour the diamonds into a pan that has been smeared with oil. Wait until it's really cold.
• Cut it to pieces with a knife that has been smeared with oil.
• Place on serving plate. Serve.
