Four Works in Progress!

Every year in December, Yellow House hosts a small pieces show for $200 and under. For me, this year the size and price requirements sit perfectly at 10x12", just shy of the 12x12" maximum. So in four different states of completion, I have a few 10x12"s in progress. They all need more work, and I hope to make a few more before the deadline hits.

A cute kitty mosaic, almost done, but I would like to add some highlights to make it more window-like.  

A sketched-out snail with flowers and a tiny praying mantis on its back, destined to be an animal allegory of the Narcissus and Echo mythology (with Daffodils, the Narcissus flower).  

A Praying Mantis parting a sea. Maybe a red sea. Maybe not. Who knows?  Man Bun, Hipster bunny with a vape. I might change the bunny face. I feel like it's missing something in the details.  

Hopefully I'll come up with something clever for the other canvases I have. I need to make an owl drinking tea at some point soon for Beach Love.  And today is repotting day for all my plants. I may need to go get some bigger pots.
