Big Hopes.

Shattered Not Stirred tw.jpg

It's been the best months I've ever had, as far as sales go. The early part of this year was very difficult, financially. We got by, because we're experts at the ebb and flow of wealth, by now. There's always someone who needs something, so we're always available to do it. People still need things when we're doing well in our own fields, of course. And if we can be, we're still there. We're just more relaxed about it.

My friend who owns the George Street Diner, in Toronto, has asked me to bring some more work over in anticipation of the Nicolas Metivier gallery group dinner in a couple weeks. I'm going to bring work over tomorrow.

I don't expect anything, but you have to bait to catch, I hear. So I'll bring what I think is some of my best, and I'll wait it out.

My imagination is already running amok about the great things that could happen, against my better judgment. I don't like getting too optimistic about things, because it's too easy to end up disappointed. I would rather be positively surprised than disappointed, so here's to no expectations!

And today, I'm helping someone in the community with grocery shopping, and then I'm having someone over for an art viewing. Yay!
