How it all started

I spent 15 years in the food and hospitality industry. That adds up to many years of food observations. I worked in bakeries, small ma and pa shops, cooperate chains, high end tourist destinations and farm to table restaurants. When my time ended in the service industry I had one full year of professional photography under my belt. It took me another whole year of experimenting before I came to the conclusion that I wanted to specialized as a food and farm photographer. I just couldn’t walk away from food. I knew I wanted to learn more. I wanted to learn where high quality, nutrient dense and flavorful food was originating. I wanted to know who was growing this food, who was buying this food....grocery stores, markets, CSAs, chefs, and general population, and I wanted to know who was cooking with this food...and who wasn’t.
