Brahms: The Child II

In view of the quarantine I have had a lot of time to watch movies, weeks ago I saw Brahms: The Boy II. Today I want to talk a little bit about the film without doing any further on the story in case anyone hasn't seen it and is interested in seeing it.

This movie is the second part of a previous story. As a point to note is that in my opinion this movie does not have much to do with the previous story, if any of you saw the first part you could see that the doll was just that a doll that was controlled by a man who hid in the walls of a house.

I think the only thing that the first and the second part have in common is that there is this doll with the name Brahms, and the place where the story unfolds. In this movie it turns out that it implies that the doll is more than just a doll, that it is as if possessed by some entity trying to find a body.

The story begins with a family who go through a traumatic scene when criminals break into their home. In view of what happened, the boy in the film stops talking, so his parents decide to take a break and go on vacation, away from the city. In that place, the boy finds a buried doll which he takes home and cleans (it is the same doll from the previous movie, where they also imply that the doll was repaired).

But since the child takes that doll home, very strange things begin to happen. The mother is aware of this series of things, so she wants to get rid of the doll because she thinks there is something wrong with it.

But as the parents realize that thanks to that doll their son returned to speak they decide to keep him. The days go by and they begin to believe that their son is going crazy, and strange things keep happening. His son begins to dress like the doll, things move, typical things from a horror movie.

One day an accident occurs, which forces the father of the family to go to the hospital, where something very strange happens, so he quickly returns home. At home the boy disappeared, so the mother goes to look for him in the old house that was nearby, finding her son with a shotgun and a mask identical to the doll face, thus noticing that her son was possessed by the doll.

At that same moment the father arrives, and manages to destroy the doll, which causes his son to come out of the trance in which he was. Several things happen (you must see the movie if you want to know what happens), and finally the little one in the movie ends up grabbing the broken wrist and burning it.

The family returns home, now as what seems like a happy, trauma-free family. And everything seems to be normal, with nothing wrong. But when the boy goes to his room, it turns out that the doll seems to be the doll if I manage to own the child...

I think...

My opinion of this movie... is a good movie to watch someday when we want to see something; Although the level of terror is not that high, at no time did I panic while watching it if it generated suspense, but not terror. And to be honest, I liked the first part more. But that's my personal opinion on this one.

On the other hand, if you want to know what happened or better understand the ending and the movies, you should see it. And don't worry, you don't need to watch the first part to understand this movie because they are not so connected.
