Prosperity

Where does prosperity really come from? It comes from doing what is right. Scriptures give us insight into this.

Psalm 1 (JPS Version)
1 Happy is the man that hath not walked in the counsel of the wicked, nor stood in the way of sinners, nor sat in the seat of the scornful.
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in His law doth he meditates day and night.
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by streams of water, that bringeth forth its fruit in its season, and whose leaf doth not wither; and in whatsoever he doeth he shall prosper.
4 Not so the wicked; but they are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
5 Therefore the wicked shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous
6 For the LORD regardeth the way of the righteous; but the way of the wicked shall perish

A couple of things to point out. If you want to prosper, you have to be willing to take counsel. Scripture talks about good counsel. You need to learn from others that have already gone through the trials and issues. They have already solved the problems presented to them. Verse 3 is very powerful as well, because it shows us that when we listen to proper counsel we will soak in the knowledge and from there we will learn. The process of learning and putting into action what we learn will result in fruit.

Put aside doubts and fears and start listening to the wisdom of tose that went before. It is good to be innovative, however, it is foolish to repeat mistakes of the past. Only by listening to the wisdom will be now how to be innovative. Afterall, Genesis said we are created in the image of G-d. Genesis 1:27. G-d created us to be creative. Bottom line to prosperity is that you have to listen to wisdom.
