travel - Aerial

I live in Russia. My country occupies 1/6 of the Earth's land, as they love to say... and the territory is quite elongated. There is a place for everything here: mountains, seas, tundra, deserts, you name it. But I live in the north corner, which is rather plain and boring swampy area. There are no mountains here, even the hills are a rarity. But in my past life, I traveled a little. Below I want to show you some shots from my trip to Crimea in 2006. By the time this region was still part of Ukraine. The photos are clickable for hi-res.

Я живу в России. Моя страна занимает 1/6 часть суши, как любят повторять, и она длинная. Тут есть все: и горы, и моря, и тундра, и пустыни. Но я живу на севере, в довольно простой и скучной болотистой местности. Никаких гор здесь отродясь нету, даже холмы - большая редкость. Но в прошлой жизни я немного путешествовал. И ниже - хочу показать вам несколько кадров из моего путешествия в Крым в 2006 году. Тогда этот край еще входил в состав Украины.

Above: mountain valley in the Sudak region, Crimea. I really fell in love with this sunken golden ancient land. It looks fantastic - here you can shoot films ... by the way, Crimea is exactly the place where Russian films are usually shot when they need to shoot "adventures in a distant southern overseas countries".

Вверху: горная долина в регионе Судак, Крым. Я очень полюбил эту выжженную солнцем, золотисую древнюю землю. Выглядит фантастически - здесь можно снимать фильмы... кстати, именно здесь обычно и снимают русские фильмы, когда нужно перенести приключения "в далёкие южные страны"

This is the Kara-Dag mountain ("Kara" means "black"). The Black Sea can be seen on the horizon in a misty haze. Of course, when the weather is good, it is quite affectionate and beckons with a pleasant blue. Stunning aerial views can be seen from the Crimean coastal mountains under the good weather conditions... Today I share the best of Aerial photography I have in my archives. I dont travel too much, as you may know if you follow me.

And here goes a small bonus: a couple of selfies. Photos were taken by my wife. In the photo above I am on the left. While we were climbing up the mountain, we tired, the ascent was not steep, but long.

After the test given to me by the Kara-Dag mountain, I lay down on the ground and just lay there for 10 minutes, looking at the sky and touching the withered grass with my back.
