Steemit: Tips and Tricks for Steemit

Hi Steemit! So maybe I am not just looking in the right place, but I see that there doesn't seem to be a set of guidelines for posting on Steemit. 

I don't necessarily mean rules, but more of a list of certain things we can do while posting. This can include proper formatting or even tips on creating engaging content. And, importantly, proper tagging conventions as that would help further connect the Steemit community and all the content creating moving forward. 

Some of you seem very knowledge, more like pros or naturals at this, so please go ahead and share some of that! 

In my case, I tried to post an announcement thread from Bitcointalk forums into a Steemit post because it is an altcoin I am very excited about and wanted to share some altcoin love on Steemit, but the formating was all wrong and eventually I wasn't able to go back and edit things. Anything I can do there? Or, at any point in the future will there be more options for editing or even deleting threads?
