I am a vegan and I love Mediterranean food with the exception of the yogurts and dairy-based sauces. I do not consider this type of food to be a diet because it mostly consist of foods that the Greek culture has eaten for many years.
Plant-based foods, fruits, whole grains, bread and small portions of meat are some of the foods you will find at the table of Greek families or at Mediterranean restaurants.
I do believe that this is a healthier type of food to eat and I am not surprised that it was voted one of the most healthiest diet’s for 2019. source
One of my favorite restaurants where I can get quick, fast and tasty food is Zoes Kitchen. Their salads are very good and I’m able to get falafel, lentil soup and whole grain power bowls.
Dimassi’s Restaurant just opened near me and is also an excellent choice for eating good Mediterranean food. My sister loves Dimassi’s and introduced me to it many years ago.
A very enlightened question.

I live to eat, at least that was my past lifestyle. I would workout so that I could eat whatever I wanted to eat. But now I am all about eating healthy and staying physically fit. I'm not much for the Mediterranean Diet since some of the foods go against my Paleo Diet. But two years ago I would have been all in it.
