Colorchallenge Thursday - Green
Green papaya growing in my backyard. Also known as the "Mexican papaya" it differs from the more common red "Hawaiian" type. It has medicinal value as it's very high in antioxidents and loaded with nutrients. The seeds are very peppery and the sweet flesh has a similar texture to a mango. We use it in Tinola, or chicken soup.
It is tasty indeed
