steemgigs flyer design challenge/ gig: 30sbd on the line. Just a way to create more awareness to the african community..

This is my entry for the steemgig challenge, hosted by @destinysaid...THANKS FOR PUTTING THIS UP TOO.

The first thing i did was to come up with a logo for the steemit reach of nigeria and like designing any logo, it comes with its challenges. Challenges to make it totally awesome asin...(batman Vs Superman kinda awesome). But in my almost many years of designing logos and other, if there is one thing that i have realized is that a logo must be simple, should be able to take form in coloured and black and white, should not present unnecessary challenges when going into print,and a couple of other things we would share in future posts. Thus the acronym KISS - keep is stupidly simple led to this

The colours of the nigerian flag contains green and white and i wanted it to be identifiable with steemit on sight without taking away the essence of steemit because thats why we are here shebi? ^_^

After the logo, the next thing is the flyer
I designed two, the first is easier for print and just like i designed the logo i used steemit-nigeria colour pallete (blue and green) as the basic colours.

I got the inspiration for this design from my sisters little ball toy.its a ball and it also has two other balls inside it and bounces very well.

I have been into some UI design recently and that was what directed the inspiration for this design. I went with the 3 waves(2 for steemit and 1 for NIgeria- mysweetsweetnigeria ^_^) the green wave finding its way amidst the steem traffic and making its way in a very good manner. Also some other elements such as the contrast and more contrast.
