The Diary Game: A Valentine's Day To Remember (14-02-2025)

Good day my lovely steemian, trust you guys are doing perfectly okay? I'm kinda sad because none of y'all invited me over for the valentine celebration nor even send your wishes across but it's fine anyways.

I'm bringing to you all a hot gist of how I spent my Valentine's day so grab your popcorn and sit tight. I woke up that morning and did my morning chores, I first of all fetched water before proceeding with other chores. When I got to tap, someone else was already fetching his so I went to paid money before coming back to fetch the water. Normally, we do buy two kegs for fifty naira but now it's three kegs for one hundred naira.

After fetching water, I took my bath and was now confused on what to put on to school, I turned my room upside down in search of a perfect outfit to rock on Friday , not just any Friday, a valentine's day. I tried on some many clothes but finally went with something different from the ones I tried on. While I was doing this, my roommate was in search of something I had no idea of and didn't want to disclose what it was. Since I couldn't help her search for an unknown thing, I just proceeded with my preparations for school.

My roommate later brought out three different fragrance and asked me to pick two as my valentine gift. Omo, I was so excited, I couldn't thank her enough shaa. Just like that, I got my first valentine gift for the day. She then prepared breakfast though I was running out of time, I had to eat so I'd have strength for the day's activities. The breakfast was so yummy, it's good to live with someone who knows how to prepare good meals.

After eating, I boarded a tricycle to school and arriving at the school gate, I was asked to present my student's identity card and I was surprised because I've never experienced such since I started school but in quest to obey higher authorities, I presented the identity card and I was allowed into the school. While strolling to my department, someone flashed me and I called back to know who it was and I was surprised to hear my sister's voice. I haven't heard from her for a long time because her phone got bad but I was glad she called.

After our first class, the lecturer offered to take us out and it was funny at first because we all took it as a joke but it seemed he was serious so he asked us to follow him to his office and we did. When we got to his office, he called some of the vendors who were selling within the school premises and asked us to pick whatever snacks we wanted and trust students to always be happy when given free stuffs. Later on, my friend gifted me a pack of candy and a hand written note, mehn! Come see the joy on my face and I also handed her a gift too.

After having three lectures, I was exhausted and hungry so I headed back home quickly but I bought something to snack on so hunger won't finish me and this was in the evening, while going home, I called my friend to know if we were still going out and he told me to get prepared . We agreed on a particular time and I knew another gift was awaiting me shaa. This year's Valentine's day celebration was the best, I couldn't relate to just 'awwnning' for people, I was also 'awwnned' for. Make nobody whine you, having someone who genuinely loves and cares for you is the best feeling ever.

At about 7pm (W.A.T), I got prepared to go meet my date at our agreed venue and everything else that followed seemed like a dream. We took beautiful pictures, had dinner ( I took the biggest share) and exchanged gifts and later went home. When I got home, I had my bath and just when I was about going to bed, a call came in and I turned out my date booked a call for me. The lady said so many sweet things and I couldn't help but shed tears of joy. @megareigns Thank you so much, Mimi. You're the best.

After the call, I went to bed with a sweet smile on my face. A day was had! Thank you for reading, see you tomorrow
