Fermented Friday

Geekdom has a standing social hour on Friday, called Fermented Friday. It's a time to catch up with old friends, make new friends, and extend your network. There is always good brew and we enjoy anything fermented including, beer, wine, and cider. One of my faves is Angry Orchard with a kick of "FIREBALL". Tastes like good ole Apple pie. So when angry orchard came out with Rose, I just had to try it. I chatted with friends and they agreed that it is great so I saw the cardboard box six-pack and my mouth started watering. I went to the cooler and couldn't find a bottle any where, apparently is was just a carrying case or our friends have already finished them. This just solidified that I had to get some at HEB and try. So when I was headed home I swung by to pick some up. There was only one left so as the video exclaim, this has got to be great. I got it home, poured a glass and stuck another one in the fridge for later. I took and huge swallow expecting an explosion of flavor. I got flavor, but it was not what I expected. It tasted more like beer then a blend of cider and wine. I am sorry to say that I did not like it all. I will have to go back to the Cider and FIREBALL that I love so much. Well the good thing is I have 5 bottles that I can share with my compadres at fermented Friday next week. Cheers and have a great weekend.
