Cooking Chop Suey - My Way

in #cooking9 years ago

I love to cook. Especially when I was much younger. I would bake cakes and more. I also like to experiment in baking or even cooking different dishes.
When I have time I like to cook vegetables and more healthy food. But sometimes I have to go with what my mom likes. Now that she is older she gets picky and does not like vegetables much.
Here is how I cook my chop suey.

INGREDIENTS:
Carrots, sayote, cauliflower, red bell peppers, young corn, snow peas, and cabbage.

Gather them together to be sliced. Wash them first and get ready with your clean chopping board and sharp knife.

Sliced the carrots, cauliflower, sayote and cabbage and placed them in individual plates.

Then the young corn, red bellpepper and snow peas.

Prepare everything you need. Not in the picture are the onions and garlic. I like a lot of garlic and onions hehehe. My protien is pork.

Then I individually fry each vegetable separately, sort of sauteing them. I saw on TV on a cook show "Wok with Yan" that it keeps the veggies crispy longer.
The I place them together.

Then I saute the onions, garlic and the pork. When the pork is just about cooked, I add all the vegetables and mix them well.

I make my special sauce and add corn starch so it will thicken. I add the cabbage last after I pour the sauce. I stir till the sauce thickens and then remove from the wok.

Then serve while hot. Yummy. I usually make enough for everyone to try and then I save some for next day.

Sarap. Maganda rin po lagyan ng mushroom. Yung iba naman, corn kernel. Pero nagpapasarap talaga yung sauce.

yes it is the sauce that makes it tasty, I only have a limited access to the ingredients I like to use the mushroom they call "tenga ng daga"

Sarap. ako naman Pancit Canton
