Another cute server finds a cool home
Hello again, yesterday was a full day. Some "guys" left some decided to join in.
The dual hexacore R810 has left us for a cooler place, followed by 64GB of DDR3 RAM. A true loss in processing power, but not for long. New folks are joining the rack community.
The DL360e G8 is still due to come(should come today). On top of that, last night I won another auction. Quite a beast. A DL580 g7, 4CPu, 8 core each(E7-4830). Even if it is just a week, my patience is going away.

But wait, this is not all(like the teleshopping guy). Last night I also managed to find a 41U rack. The only problem is that it is about 200km(125miles) away from me. I have to find someone to go get it(since I do not have a car that big) and then get it to 6th floor(I live in an appartment). The good part is that I can disassemble it. Very helpful in this situation or any situation really. Below is the handsome guy.
Soon "the rack" community will drop the quote marks and go pro. Until then, happy crunching and have fun.

I am truly jealous for your hobby! I would really like to build a server as well, but I cannot afford the electricity, space and heat... Keep the building up and hopefully reach the 1000 cores soon :)
Well, luckily the electricity is very cheap here(~0.04$), with space and heat I have trouble too. The "server room" is actualy a 0.8m by 2m closet. For now is great because is winter and is around 10 degrees C. Another big plus is wife support:D. By this summer we will move to our new home and there I will have a proper server room with AC and all. When I reach the goal, I will open it for visitors.
