Bring A Dead Post Back To Life Again

I'm writing this for a friend (wink)

I have a question for the great minds of Steemit.

Let's say you wrote a great post that you know people will love, but for one reason or another, it just didn't get many votes.

It has been several weeks, you made a few cents, but really would love to get it active on Steemit again.

What would be your best way of getting it noticed again?

You have already....

  • Shared it on social media but it did not get Steemit votes.
  • Replied to all comments already.

What do you think is the best way?

If there's some activity on the post i.e. Someone replies to your post or you reply to a comment on your post, Then the post goes straight to the top of the 'Active' page. This doesn't necessarily mean that people will see it and upvote, But It does give it an extra life to some extent.
Hope this helped :)

I mentioned that if you replied to all the comments after a while when no one else comments again it becomes pretty much dead. I would hate to see good posts go to waste. Thanks for the reply

You could alway ask a friend to post a comment on your post, when you want it bumping up, Frankly I don't like to dwell on it much when my posts don't earn loads, You just have to keep at it, Keep uploading good content and eventually you'll make it, Or you won't. It's hard to tell, But it is nice knowing that your thoughts and ideas are being saved onto a blockchain for all to see for years to come.

Lol haven't been able to get anyone I know aboard just yet. I think they are waiting to see if I make any money

I better start or they will never believe me

@pierce-the-veil: Hi! @ptmikesteem i have been wondering the same thing.

I came right out of the gate with uber original and quality posts, like so many others, only to find "silence". It really is a little soul-crushing.

I was just having a conversation on this very topice 10minutes ago with @teruneo.

Especially frustrating when you do update posts to link the first 'timed" post and it too goes by unnoticed.

Best of Luck to you sir, and I up-voted your post for genuineness.

Perhaps you could start a daily "post channel" called "back from the dead" or something and host other struggling Steemers. This could be incredibly lucrative if done consistently.

I really don't want to rewrite a post again. If it can't be done then maybe a way similar to Facebook where you can pin your top post at the beginning of your page. Like a favorite post.

I too have been wondering the same. As I am on the West coast and normally don't post until late. At that time most Steemit users are asleep. With very few people online and active, the blogs don't get much visibility. That greatly limits the chances for anyone to read it and become viral.

So, I hope there is a good answer or allowable re-post option.

I am at work really early and don't usually get to post until late in the day which I know isn't the best time. That dam thing called work gets in the way of everything. lol Following you now also.

Yea, when can we get a fix for that thing called 'work'?

No doubt, maybe Steemit is the answer lol

Good question...i would like to know the answer too...if we can edit and repost it again.

I have edited posts, but it doesn't move it back to the top of active. Hopefully the great brains here can help.
