“A good farmer must know the land ”

In the fullest sense of the word , what is farmer for you?

A farmer as any person who operates a farm or is directly involved in the cultivation of land, crops, or livestock which are owned by that person.

is also known as a a person who does farming for living both for others and get paid after rendering service. A farmer is cultivate crops and rearing of animals and for livestock purposes.

What are the tools of the farmer's work and what is the function of each of them*?

Hoe: this is used for weeding the grasses and also for planting.

Rake: rake is just like broom for the farmers because it's separate the grass from the sand and makes the farmland to be cleaned and well leveled.breaks soil dumps or spread fertilizer or compost.

Shovel: shovel is used for digging and moving plants of you want to do transplanting and to dig out in crop that breaks while uprooting.

Watering can: this is used in watering your plant and irrigating crops.

Are you one of those who believe that agriculture is bad for the planets , why?

I am not because I believe that agriculture has brought a good impact in the society by providing food and shelter , agriculture can't be bad for planet everything that concerns agriculture revolves feeding , which is the food infrastructure,it has provide job opportunities by engaging in livestock farming, farmers often some problems in farming because of seasonal of produce and climate change .

Do you think the land can be cultivated without using chemicals? Explain the answer.

Yes, it can be cultivated without the use of chemicals, through the following ways;

Bush fallowing:this is allowing the land to rest for many years after cultivated for 3-5 years the decayed leaves to add manures to the soil.

Through crop rotation method: that is growing different crops on a piece of land in orderly sequence every year the legumes the rotation.enrich the soil by addition of nitrogen.

By using organic manures: such as plants and animals reduces the farms can add to it soil improve it's nutrients and fertility it could be poultry waste dung, maize stalks.
