Why You Should Check Out @armandocat's Browser Extensions for Steemit - See More Info All Around Steemit
Since Steemit is still a relatively new platform and full development is ongoing and time-consuming, many third-party tools exist to increase features and usability.
For a fine overview, check out SteemTools.com.
@armandocat Has Developed a Browser Extension for Chrome and Firefox
The extension is called Steemit More Info, but you can't get it in the Extension store yet. So, how do you get it?
Check out @armandocat's post for detailed instructions on installing it (only about 3 easy steps) and more info on this great tool.
What Does It Do?
This simple extension shows you more info about your Steemit account as well as others.
On the new Votes tab, you can view your votes as well as those of others.
Why Should I Care?
I think @armandocat is approaching development in the best way possible. We don't have to leave Steemit to use his tool. It adds information right to Steemit itself.
The extension also promotes the work of others by bringing their features to a tool we can use on Steemit.
In my opinion, that is providing great value to myself and the Steemit community and I feel it's important to highlight such contributions.
I'm Looking Forward to Seeing More From This Tool
In his post, @armandocat says he plans to add more features over time, and I'm excited to see what other info will become available as a result.
I'm still still trying to figure out what chrome did last night... all my fonts are changed, all my icons are a different size. It took 3 hrs to find my email account. I thought I'd been hacked and tried to change passwords, but couldn't get into my email. It kept going to an old backup account!
I didn't have any problems last night, but I had to replace my main Chrome profile recently because it started glitching.
I work from home as a freelancer, so I'm in and out of a lot of people's accounts. In order to avoid having to log in and out of everywhere, I just use a Chrome profile for each client in addition to myself.
I'd like to find a way out of using Chrome altogether, but this feature and the fact that 3rd parties almost always develop for it, I don't see that happening anytime soon.
It's always great to receive your comment, Rich. Thanks.
I worry that somebody hacked me, but why would they change my icons and font???
To make you ask why? 😜
What kinda security do you have? Maybe try scanning with MalwareBytes - https://www.malwarebytes.com/
The free one works great.
I run Avast Anti-Virus and have never had a problem. Most ISPs have a certain amount of protection in and of themselves. I could probably get by without any protection at all.
I have malwarebytes 3... supposed to be top of the line- real time protection. It's worked great so far. I tried to reset to an earlier time twice, but no soap!
