THE DAIARY GAME:REPRESENT YOUR CULTURE IN MY SCHOOL ON TUESDAY (08/06/2021)

Hello friends. I'm very glad to share with you my " Represent Your Culture " story. This is a great day for the students of University For Development Studies at Nyankpala campus. It comes once every year for the students to display their elegant cultural heritage.This program is hold in high esteem by both the student body and the administration of the school.

I would like to take you through the activities of this great day of "Represent Your Culture. In other words, it also called "Culture Day" on campus. It all start with a committee planning on the event . That is to say when will be appropriate time for the event, how to organize the event , the amount of money to be spent etc.

When the planning committee is done with the arrangements , a flyer is designed to be shared as a means of communication to the student body. On the flyers designed will includes the date of the event , few pictures of students in their respective cultural outfit and list of activities that will be carried out on that day.

This year's event was on Tuesday, 8th June, 2021. I represeted my culture as a proud Dagomba young man . Dagombas are found in the Northern region of Ghana in West Africa. Dagombas route can be traced back to Lake Chad. Dagombas as an ethnic group has many cultural practices which includes our festival celebrations , marriage ceremonies , beliefs, norm, values and many more.

In order to make the event great and successful, there were many arrangements from the Faculty Of Communication And Cultural Studies . They organized a red carpet session, photo shoot session and interview sessions to give the students the opportunity to express their feelings about the day.

The environment was filled with pleasant smells of different cultural outfit. Indeed the culture of a man is truly relevant. It is important we take much time to learn more about our respective cultural heritages and try our possible best to portray the beauty of our cultural heritages to the world.

In conclusion, I gives to the Almighty for such a beautiful day. My appreciations goes to the Hardworking MR.SABAA, President of Department Of Communication, Innovation And Technology. I say bravo to everyone who contributed to make it successful.
