Bobby - backpack, which is not afraid of pickpockets
All owners of backpacks are familiar with the anxiety that arises in crowded places.
Bobby - the brainchild of the Dutch company XD Design. One of the designers of the company, a native of Paris, Thomas Droz, spent the last year of his studies in Shanghai. A young European noticed that local residents often wear backpacks on their bellies to protect their property from theft. For him it became a little cultural shock.
The development of the prototype took several months. The name of the backpack was given by the speaker - Bobby. This is the historical nickname of the British police: in 1829, the Home Secretary of the United Kingdom, Robert Pil, founded the municipal police in London. "Bobby"
First, it is devoid of the most delicious for the thief part - easily accessible and invisible to the owner when operating external pockets and compartments. Outside, the backpack is smooth and unapproachable, like a bastion. Its main zipper hides the tissue fold, and itself it is laid on the edge of the back of the backpack.
Disappointed by the lack of pockets, an attacker will pull out a knife to open the backpack. But here it is a failure, because Bobby is sewn immediately from several layers of very dense materials.
Bobby, on the contrary, is tight to the back and evenly distributes the load, which makes the overall weight lighter by a quarter.
