Well I found out about steem 2 years ago... Yeah I know and that's such a long time. So I will just use the questions from the contest-post to write out my experience.

We would love to hear how you found out about Steemit. How your blockchain career began actually :D
Why you joined Steemit? Invited by someone? Read about it? Where?
What was your first experience?
What was your knowledge of blockchain? Are you interested in that?
Did you invite friends? Is your family here? etc...

Q1. We would love to hear how you found out about Steemit. How your blockchain career began actually

I was introduced to steemit by @joyart and @sancti.

I and Joy were in a cab heading to school, there was this girly chattering all the way, and one thing led to the other and then boom! she mentioned steemit and how it had changed her life. That got my attention and i asked countless questions trying to clear my doubts and she didnt hesitate in teling me everything i needed to know and in details too, trust me she was so supportive.
After getting home that evening, i stayed up all night, reading and watching tutorials about steemit. Satisfied with the knowledge i had gained, i was ready to set up an account for myself.

When I joined steemit, I was a final year student and it was hard to balance the whole blogging and school work together since I slowly got addicted to steemit. My niche is mainly art, photography and general life issues and those were the posts I have most on my blog.

Q2 Why you joined Steemit? Invited by someone? Read about it? Where?

Q3 What was your first experience?

To be frank, majority of my blogging experience on steemit was really depressing. The whole enthusiasm I started with, was racked off as I wasn't getting deserving or decent upvotes. After the heartbreak from steemit, I drifted to airdrops and ended up incurring shitcoins with no value to my wallet. It was reallyterrible😂😂 Well everything got better with time and I have never regretted knowing steemit, because through her the knowledge of blockchain was brought to my doorstep.

Q4 What was your knowledge of blockchain? Are you interested in that?

Well, initially I thought it was a digital organization where people performed tasks for digital assets which could be exchanged for fiat. Lols, my whole conceptipn changed with time. In simple term I would say a blockchain is a system that stores data of transactions and while ensures security, transparency, and decentralization
