Happy 56th Independence Day Mauritius!!!

Greetings of the day everyone!

I hope you are having a nice start of the week!

From this side of the world, it was quite a busy day for me specially as we are getting ready for the Holy month of Ramadan starting tomorrow + my daily load of work!

And on top of Ramadan starting tomorrow, we are also celebrating the 56th Independence of Mauritius!

12th March 1968 - 12th March 2024!

So yeah friends, Happy Independence Day to all my Mauritian friends and family here and around the world!

Rheem and Omar celebrated Independence Day today at school!

Today it was party day at school and they were both back home before noon!

This is the tradition in Mauritius, the kids celebrate Independence a day before as tomorrow is Public Holiday!

They both happily got ready early and were so excited to go to school and celebrate with their friends and teachers!

Ramadan Starting tomorrow...

Two important happenings on the same day tomorrow!

If you check my previous post, I wrote on Ramadan 2024 and what will follow on my blog soon! Expect a lot of foods...all yummy ones!!!

I seize this opportunity to wish all my friends here who will be fasting for the month of Ramadan a very blessed Ramadan Kareem!

Busy month ahead...

It will be a very busy 30 days ahead as we will be fasting as well as performing our daily load of work which consist mainly of cooking foods...

As usual I will look for ways to make the month fun while we are fasting and working...
