The Universe was created to be simple. Sure there are complex things once you dive deep into knowledge, but the aggregate system by itself has to be simple. Simplicity is the key to understanding everything.

So when you have people making decisions in life, specifically political decisions, there is no reason, why the answer should not be simple too.

You have to consider trillions of variables, look at every single argument of all political sides, study different topics, and then make your decision.

Well if this is the process of deciding things, then we are pretty much fucked up, because no single human is capable of doing all these things. People have no education on various complex subjects, and people have no way of understanding the entire human society, in order to make political decisions.

The Method:

Yet, what if I tell you, there is a simple way of choosing policy and your political positions. It's very very simple, and there is no reason why it should not be. You don't have to understand complex sociological issues, you only have to look at 1 single variable: Freedom. All other variables are meaningless.

So whenever you have to make a political decision, this methodology should guide your thought process:

Does policy X give me More Freedom or Less Freedom?

  • If it gives me more freedom: then I Agree

  • If it gives me less freedom: then I Disagree

That's it. Thousands of years of political and philosophical debate can be ended with this 1 simple methodology. The only variable that matters is freedom. Everything else is an illusion. And the key is that you should only look at your own interests, and not other's interests, and if everyone does that (and they don't submit to some collective fantasy), then it will work out very well.

Examples:

So let's apply this methodology to existing political issues, to illustrate to you, how easy it is to choose policy:

  • Does forcibly stealing 70% of my income away is good for me or not? Apparently not, so I disagree.
  • Does forcibly making me to go to school from 3 years of age until 18 years of age, and listening to lies and propaganda good for me or not? Apparently not, so I disagree.
  • Does taking away my freedom of speech good for me or not? Apparently not, so I disagree.
  • Does taking away my right to defend myself against thugs good for me or not? Apparently not, so I disagree.
  • Does forcibly making me pay for a Pension Ponzi scheme that will probably collapse by the time I reach pension age, and I will be left a poor old man starving on the streets, good for me or not? Apparently not, so I disagree.
    ..... and so on

You see, it's this easy to choose your stance on political issues, you don't need to understand complex issues. You only need to look at your own self-interest, and if everybody does that, then it will work out wonderfully.

So every time you are in a dilemma about some political decision, keep in mind this technique, because the only thing that counts is your own freedom. You should not give it up, ever.

''Does policy X give me More Freedom or Less Freedom?''

Well this exact question can be interpreted in a thousand ways so where the real problem lies is inside the brain of every one. The same can be said about the examples you gave everyone ''asks'' their own questions and give their own answers so you get the point

Now although i agree with the vast amount of examples you gave with this one i dont( at least that not happend in my case)
''Does forcibly making me to go to school from 3 years of age until 18 years of age, and listening to lies and propaganda good for me or not? Apparently not, so I disagree.''
Ofc i had some ''bad teachers'' or just plain stupid ones but the majority were very good and i learn a couple of things. Now about the propaganda and the lies that depends again on the teacher, i dont know what is happening in your country but i didnt here any of the above, most of the teachers had an open conversation with us in every matter. The only lie i can say i heard but its not ''proven'' yet is the religion class!
anyway thanks for your post

Well yes but if everyone chooses personal freedom, then the aggregate would be freedom as well.

For instance, 10% of the population might choose welfare, because it gives them more freedom in the present moment. But it will be the other 90% that will have to pay for it, so if they choose no taxes, then by default, the majority overrules the minority.

If only 51% of people were to believe in freedom, then the entire violent system of today would collapse.

We all know that it's not the elite who pay the taxes, but the average working Joe, who are in majority. If they would realize how much they are exploited, they could end the entire exploitation system overnight.

I didn't meant it like that. Well some teachers certainly have an agenda, it's true that not all of them are bad. But I was refering more to the curiculum and the entire way the school is setup.

You might think you are learning literature, but you are actually learning obedience, because most of the literature subject is filled with pro-government rhetoric.

If a 7 year old kid, is constantly hearning pro-government rhetoric for 12 years, what do you think will happen to his perception about the world?

well but i might think i am learning literature and i actually learning it but if lets say i dont and the things are like you said the i totally agree with outcome although i blame the 7 years old kid that now is 19 years old about his perception. If he lives in a country that has free internet access then he can do a search of his own on every matter. If he dont, i wont blame so much the pro-goverment rhetoric but him as a person for not searching futher while he had the means to do so. In general i believe from at least the age of 18 that if you live in a ''free'' world and by that as i said i mean when you got free access to learning sources then you have no excuse on generic matters. For example if you learn that americans are the best ones or that the borders of your country are wider and contain parts of other countries then if you never checked it out via internet you are completely retard!
