We've been hearing of Aje butter and ajekpako. They both classify rich kids and poor kids. It's relatively viewed that only poor people live in the village and rich people in town. Education has redefined it to sound more professional than the original term. Education call it Rural and Urban area. In every town, there was a village I must admit.

There are lots of differences that lies between rural areas and urban including those living in it. I'll start by saying that the urban areas we have now were once villages

In most urban areas, there is supply of electricity of which inhabitants living there survive or depend on for their businesses to grow. Light is a major characteristics of a well developed urban areaThis is quite different when talking about the rural areas. In some rural areas, there's electricity supply but its barely attributed to them. Inhabitants there love improvisation I mean and they don't depend on electricity for their businesses to move. They either use candle or lantern and they are ohkay with It.
Talking about development, it is seen in urban areas in terms of good buildings, facilities that involves health sector, school and the likes of them, development in technologies used to work and the kind of life these technologies provideDevelopment in technology is barely seen in some rural areas especially the remote ones. They aren't concerned about using technology to solve their needs. They are just contented with the crude tools they have.
Every urban area came from rural areas. The reason why it's called urban is because it was a developed rural area and when it becomes developed, it doesn't fall on that class againEvery rural area is dormant and doesn't emanate from anywhere. Urban areas can't turn rural. So rural areas are termed the creation of life. It's when the life lived there is enhanced before it changes.

Like I rightly said, every urban area comes from the rural. So I followed this growth pattern. I grew up in the village, a typical village in must admit because my parents where born and brought up there. In my life journey, I came to adapt to the lifestyle of going to farm, stream and breaking of kernels on a daily basis to survive. Our survival was majorly on our hardwork. The contentment was just there. I grew up In a place where I learnt value and the community as well built me up. Although I'm no longer residing in rural areas, I believe every human need to have an experience of the scratch before going to the top so as to survive in any situation.

The current situation of my country's economy is alarming and those in rural areas prioritise agriculturing. Do they don't need to be affected by the increment in economy as they can produce these basic necessities easily.

If I were told to go to the area i didn't grow up from, will I?

The answer is no because in life, everyone grows from a particular thing to another. You can't choose being poor after attaining the high of financial stability. That's almost the same choice made here. I think it would be difficult for me to adapt to the changes in rural areas that weren't in urban. One of such is light and internet. As remote areas, they lack completely or greater percentage of these two things whereas to mez these two things are very important elements in my life. I can't stay in a place for over a week without light. So that's why I said no and that it would be difficult to adapt.

In the place I grew up, I would give that place 90% of nature as they work side-by-side with nature. Big industries, companies and heavy machines that causes pollution in urban areas aren't found in rural areas as they use improved technology to enhance the quality of their lives. The absence of these makes their air natural to breathe and not contaminated. Reasons why they live longer than us in urban areas.

  • Another major thing that's not there in rural areas are opportunities to become financially stable in terms of providing for one's needs. I wouldn't know the current digital skills paying people online without having to do physical work if I were in rural areas. This exposure to opportunities in companies and other organizations won't be there as I'll be restricted to doing skills that barely pay me faster. Comparing: someone in rural areas sews clothes and earn a minimum of 15k a month because of lack of customers but someone in urban would make that 15k on a daily basis because of being exposed to customers.

If you're living in rural areas, don't be discouraged but don't be permanent there or you would have a changed mindset. I invite @basil20, @whizzbro4eva and @vudeme123.

Indeed "every Urban area was once a rural area".
Just like there's nothing wrong in growing up in urban areas, same goes for rural areas. Though they're less opportunities and amenities in most rural areas, urban areas also has it's weakness.

Excellence can emanate from anywhere whether urban or rural. It's has so much to do with you than the place You stay.

In the nearest future, the word "rural" should go extinct as we would urbanizing everywhere...LoL.

We're going urban!😂

Hello @profesorlenz

I very much agree with you on the way to differentiate the rural area from the urban area. There is no doubt that in urban areas there are greater opportunities for growth and to have better services such as electricity, water, internet, shopping centers, hospitals, schools and a large number of other advantages, which rural areas do not really have, where you grew up and Life was very hard for you because you had to work tirelessly and not have good public services.

The truth is that now you live in the city in better conditions than in rural areas, so you would not like to return to life in the countryside, due to the difficulty of services such as electricity, water and the lack of internet.

Thanks for sharing your post with a great point of view on the challenge topic.

Good night.

Thanks alot for going through the post, I really appreciate.
