Question 1

List and explain 5 conditions for marriage

Before a man and woman can decide to get engaged and take a step further by getting married, certain conditions must be met. They are outlined below.

-Physical Fitness: The man and woman in question must disclose their health situation to each other. They blood group, genotype, and other health related matters should be disclosed to avoid future problems. It is necessary for man and woman to do this because take for example if a Sickle cell recessive (AS) man marries a Sickle cell recessive woman (AS), there is a 25% probability that one of their child will be a sickler. These problem can easily be avoided if the two people in question go for test and see that okay the marriage will not work since they are not compatible. Furthermore, if any of the man and woman have any disability it is primitive to inform each other before marriage so there'll be no regrets after marriage.

-Financial Readiness: It is very important for BOTH of the people getting married to have a source of income or livelihood so they do not put each other in misery after marriage. It's good for a woman to have her own source of income because anything can happen to the man at any time and when such thing happens, the woman's source of income can keep the family going.

-Maturity: Marriage is not something we can go into as we please Solomon Grundy died got ill and died after two days of marriage. People about to go into marriage must be matured so they can make wise decisions that will make their marriage last long.

-Psychological Fitness: This has to do with the ability of the couple to handle tough or bad situations with calmness of mind. If none of them have this ability, it is best they remain apart.

-Physiological Fitness: This has to do with the biological fitness of both parties. Marriage is not for kids so the couple must have obtained the legal age for marriage in their locality. They must have attained adult status, they should be grown ups.

List and Explain five effects of lack of readiness to marriage

-Constant conflict: When a man and woman go into marriage unprepared, they will not be able to cope with each other hence constant problems will arise.

-Marital Unhappiness: When a couple is not psychologically prepared for marriage, little problems would seem huge for them hence there will be no happiness.

-Poverty: When a couple is not financially fit before going into marriage, they'll put themselves in misery and poverty.

-Separation: When all these things I've mentioned before happens, one of them will lose interest in the marriage and try to leave for greener pastures.

-Divorce: This is the height of them all. When the problems couples face become too hefty to solve, they opt for divorce meaning that they end the marriage and each of them is allowed to move on to another partner.

Question 3

What can you say about your parent's marriage

Well, no marriage is perfect. It is unavoidable for couples to have disputes and quarrels due to their different family background. My parents have been married for the past 18 years and even if their marriage is not perfect, each of them is doing their best to achieve perfection. The family is as one facing joy, sorrow, weal and woe together.
