BE GRATEFUL

Sitting on my bed all alone and wondering why life always presents to us the things we do not desire, and the things we strive and long to get seems to be far away from us. The people we long to be with, do not feel the same way we feel about them, the dream job we spend a whole bunch of our life trying to get seems sometimes very impossible to get, the career ladder we are trying to pursue seems as if promotion is far away from us and it’s as if all we do, seem not to get the attention of your bosses.
All of these and many more are some of man’s challenges and at the end of the day after carrying out long evaluations about our life’s we ask God the one question that every human at one point in his or her life always ask “WHY ME”?. It’s really not as if the father does not care about us, it’s just that humans are too self-centered, always about us and us alone.
Every day is rush hour in the 21st century, work, work, business trips, project deadline, appointment with the doctor, what will the children eat, will i get a good human to marry, will I be a good husband and a good father to my unborn kids etc. All these, beclouds our sense of gratitude for the little things the Father has done for us. We always want things our own way, we feel we can do it all by ourselves, we are always in constant competition knowingly and unknowingly, neglecting the good life God has put in place for us.
The truth is we can never get that inner peace which we desire on our own, if you want peace you have to ask the Father for it, only then will you be able to be thankful and appreciate God for what he has done and learn to love and forgive people.
